10kW solar
Headroom for ducted air-con, a pool, or a future battery & EV.
Everything, done by one team.
From the first site assessment to grid connection and monitoring, your 10kW system is designed, installed and supported by Kratos Energy — no subcontractor handballing.
- Trina 475W or Jinko Tier 1 panels
- 8–10kW hybrid-ready inverter
- Cleanergy or Mibet mounting rails
- Full design & engineering
- CEC-accredited installation
- Wi-Fi production monitoring
- Battery & EV-charger pre-wiring
What 10kW changes
The question stops being whether the system can run one big appliance and becomes whether it can run several at the same time. That is the whole step up from 6.6kW, and it is why this size suits ducted homes.
What can run simultaneously on a clear day. From 10kW of panels at realistic output.
Annual-average generation in the Sydney region. A typical Australian household uses 15 to 20 kWh a day in total.
- Ducted system, whole house4.00 kW
- Pool pump (single speed)1.10 kW
- Fridge-freezer (300–500 L)200 W
- LED lighting, whole house150 W
- Dishwasher2.40 kW
- Running together7.85 kW
That is more than the 7.8 kW the system can deliver at that moment, so the difference comes from the grid or a battery.
What it still will not do
Charge an electric car at 7kW while the ducted system is working hard. That combination needs more than this inverter can pass at one moment, so one of them waits — which is usually fine, because a car charging is the most patient load in the house. If an EV is already in the driveway rather than hypothetical, the next size up is the honest recommendation.
Appliance draws are electrical input, not nameplate cooling capacity — an air conditioner sold as 5kW uses about 1.32kW of electricity. Figures verified 2026-10-03. Generation is an annual average; a clear summer day is higher and a wet winter day far lower. None of this works in a blackout without a battery.
