Solar installation service areas.
Generation, feed-in tariffs and rebate amounts differ across Australia. Choose your state for 2026 figures built on official data.
Your postcode sets the rebate
The federal STC discount depends on system size, the year you install and the zone your postcode falls in. Sydney and Canberra are in Zone 3 and Melbourne is in Zone 4, so the same 6.6kW system earns a smaller discount in Melbourne.
Your network sets the export rules
The company that owns the poles and wires in your street approves the connection and decides how much your system may send back to the grid. The rules differ between networks, which is why our local pages say what applies to that area.
Your home sets the system
Roof type, shading, single or three-phase power, a pool, ducted air conditioning or an EV change the right size far more than the suburb name does. Every quote starts from your bill and a roof assessment.
