Solar, batteries and EV chargers for Fairy Meadow, Balgownie, Fernhill, Mount Ousley and Mount Pleasant. Plenty of roofs here already have panels, so this page starts with the question we are asked most: how to add a battery to a system you already own.
Three things decide how a battery joins the system on your roof. We check all three at the assessment, before anything is priced.
Its age, model and condition. A healthy inverter can stay with an AC-coupled battery. One near the end of its life is usually better replaced with a hybrid.
A battery earns about 27c on every stored kWh you use later, on our NSW figures. It needs both exported solar to store and evening load to use it on.
Not in habitable rooms, roof spaces or escape routes. A garage or protected external wall, out of direct sun, and above the flood level where that applies.
The NSW Solar Bonus Scheme closed to new customers in 2011 and ended on 31 December 2016. Systems that were on it now get a retailer feed-in rate, which is usually far lower. For an early system that exports most of what it makes, that change is often what makes a battery worth looking at now.
Network rules change and every connection is approved on its own merits — we confirm the limit that applies to your address in writing before install day.
Home batteries attract two separate incentives. The federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program takes an estimated $3,402 off a 13.5 kWh battery, and NSW’s NSW VPP connection incentive (battery via federal program) can add more on top. Already have solar? We check your inverter first — some systems take a battery as they are, others need a hybrid inverter.
Estimated federal rebate on 13.5 kWh of usable storage
NSW virtual power plant (VPP) incentive when you connect an eligible battery to a VPP, on top of the federal Cheaper Home Batteries discount. The NSW upfront battery discount ended for installs from 1 July 2025.
Size your solar for it now. Our 10kW package comes pre-wired for a battery and an EV charger, so adding one later is a small job rather than a rebuild.
These are estimates, not fixed prices. Each one assumes a straightforward installation and already has the federal STC discount for postcode 2519 taken off. What your home actually costs depends on your roof, switchboard and connection — we confirm it in writing after a free assessment.

Anything that applies to your home is itemised in your written quote before you commit to it.
Estimates only, including GST, checked October 2026. STC figures use postcode 2519, 2026 deeming and an assumed $38 per certificate — the discount you receive depends on the certificate market on your installation date. Savings are modelled on typical usage and tariffs and are not a guarantee.
We look at the roof, the switchboard and a recent bill. If you already have solar, we photograph the inverter label and check its age and model, because that decides how a battery can be added.
A quote with the battery, the inverter arrangement and every extra itemised. If you have an existing system, it shows the keep-the-old-inverter option and the hybrid option side by side.
We lodge the connection application, including for a battery added to an existing system, and confirm your export limit before install day.
CEC-accredited electricians install, test and commission the system, mounting the battery and inverter where the standard and your block allow, then clean up.
Your retailer updates the meter and we set up monitoring for the solar and the battery together, so you can see what each one is doing.
Every install below is a real Kratos job, with the suburb and month it was completed. As we finish work around Fairy Meadow, those projects will appear here too.

Smarter Home Energy with Solar & Battery Storage Kratos Energy has successfully completed another residential solar and battery installation in Endeavour Hills, Victoria, combining a 10.45 kW Jinko solar system with 32 kWh of GoodWe battery storage. Designed to help the household generate more of its own electricity, store excess solar energy and reduce dependence on the grid, this system provides a strong foundation for smarter and more flexible home energy management. Project Overview Location: Endeavour Hills, Victoria Solar System Size: 10.45 kW Solar Panels: Jinko Solar Battery Storage: 32 kWh Battery Brand: GoodWe Project Type: Residential Solar + Battery Installation Status: Completed The Solution The property was equipped with a high-capacity rooftop solar system using Jinko solar panels, strategically installed to make effective use of the available roof space. The 10.45 kW solar array works alongside a substantial 32 kWh GoodWe battery system, allowing solar energy generated during the day to be stored for use when required. Rather than relying solely on electricity from the grid after sunset, the household can make greater use of energy generated from its own rooftop solar system. Why Solar + Battery? Combining solar generation with battery storage gives homeowners greater control over how and when they use electricity. This installation is designed to help the household: Increase the use of self-generated solar energy Store excess daytime solar production for later use Reduce reliance on grid electricity Make better use of solar energy during evenings and high-demand periods Gain greater control over household energy consumption Build a more energy-resilient home Reduce exposure to rising electricity costs over the long term Built for Long-Term Energy Independence With 10.45 kW of solar generation capacity and 32 kWh of battery storage, this Endeavour Hills installation represents a significant step towards greater household energy independence. The combination of Jinko solar technology and GoodWe energy storage provides the homeowner with a modern energy solution designed around both current electricity requirements and future energy needs.
