Solar, batteries and EV chargers for Gosford, East Gosford, West Gosford, North Gosford, Point Clare, Narara, Wyoming, Niagara Park and Kariong — the whole 2250 postcode. A good deal of housing around Gosford dates from an era when asbestos cement sheeting was ordinary building material, and mounting an array means drilling the roof. That makes the first question here what your roof is made of, and it is a question some quotes are careful not to ask.
These are estimates, not fixed prices. Each one assumes a straightforward installation and already has the federal STC discount for postcode 2250 taken off. What your home actually costs depends on your roof, switchboard and connection — we confirm it in writing after a free assessment.

Anything that applies to your home is itemised in your written quote before you commit to it.
Estimates only, including GST, checked October 2026. STC figures use postcode 2250, 2026 deeming and an assumed $38 per certificate — the discount you receive depends on the certificate market on your installation date. Savings are modelled on typical usage and tariffs and are not a guarantee.
This is the one subject in rooftop solar where the correct answer costs us the sale, so it rarely gets written down. Asbestos cement sheeting was ordinary building material in Australian housing until it was phased out around the late 1980s, and plenty of it is still doing its job on roofs and eaves around this postcode. Left alone it is not the problem. A solar install does not leave it alone.
Every roof-mounted array is fixed through the roof. Drilling bonded asbestos cement is precisely the activity that releases fibres from material that is otherwise stable and harmless, which is why disturbance rather than presence is what the rules are written about.
In NSW, removing more than ten square metres of non-friable asbestos requires a licensed asbestos removalist, and SafeWork NSW recommends using a licensed professional for any amount at all. There is no version of this where a solar crew drilling your roof is the right arrangement.
Replace the roof first through a licensed removalist and install afterwards — usually the right order anyway on a roof that old. Put the array on a garage, shed or carport with a metal roof, feeding the same meter. Or ground-mount it if you have the land. We will quote any of the three, and we will tell you which one we would pick.
Ask what the roof sheeting is, and what they intend to fix into. An installer who has actually assessed the property will answer immediately. One who has not looked, or who offers to be careful and work around it, is proposing exactly the thing the rules exist to prevent — and the consequences of that stay in your roof space long after the crew has driven away. Two other things worth knowing. Do not cut, sand or drill a sample to find out what you have; a licensed assessor can confirm it properly and that is the only sensible route. And remember the eaves and wall sheeting, not just the roof, because cable runs and switchboard work pass through them. If this rules your house out for now, we would rather tell you that than take a deposit.
Network rules change and every connection is approved on its own merits — we confirm the limit that applies to your address in writing before install day.
Asbestos is the hard stop, but it is not the only reason the roof deserves a thought before a twenty-five year system goes on top of it. A roof with ten years left under an array with twenty-five is a problem you have simply postponed, and paid to remove and refit. Our St Clair page works through roof age against system life, and keeps the three warranties separate while it does it.
Roof age, system life and the three warrantiesHome batteries attract two separate incentives. The federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program takes an estimated $3,402 off a 13.5 kWh battery, and NSW’s NSW VPP connection incentive (battery via federal program) can add more on top. Already have solar? We check your inverter first — some systems take a battery as they are, others need a hybrid inverter.
Estimated federal rebate on 13.5 kWh of usable storage
NSW virtual power plant (VPP) incentive when you connect an eligible battery to a VPP, on top of the federal Cheaper Home Batteries discount. The NSW upfront battery discount ended for installs from 1 July 2025.
Size your solar for it now. Our 10kW package comes pre-wired for a battery and an EV charger, so adding one later is a small job rather than a rebuild.
We review your roof, shading, switchboard and a recent bill. On an older house the first question is what the roof is actually made of, because that decides whether there is a job here at all.
A quote naming the panel and inverter models, the system size, the total price and what is excluded — or, where the roof is not suitable, a plain explanation and the options instead of a price.
We lodge your grid-connection application and confirm any export limit before install day.
Accredited electricians install, test and commission the system, then clean up. You are told who is coming.
Your retailer updates the meter, we set up monitoring, and you get the compliance paperwork rather than being told it is in the post.

Smarter Home Energy with Solar & Battery Storage Kratos Energy has successfully completed another residential solar and battery installation in Endeavour Hills, Victoria, combining a 10.45 kW Jinko solar system with 32 kWh of GoodWe battery storage. Designed to help the household generate more of its own electricity, store excess solar energy and reduce dependence on the grid, this system provides a strong foundation for smarter and more flexible home energy management. Project Overview Location: Endeavour Hills, Victoria Solar System Size: 10.45 kW Solar Panels: Jinko Solar Battery Storage: 32 kWh Battery Brand: GoodWe Project Type: Residential Solar + Battery Installation Status: Completed The Solution The property was equipped with a high-capacity rooftop solar system using Jinko solar panels, strategically installed to make effective use of the available roof space. The 10.45 kW solar array works alongside a substantial 32 kWh GoodWe battery system, allowing solar energy generated during the day to be stored for use when required. Rather than relying solely on electricity from the grid after sunset, the household can make greater use of energy generated from its own rooftop solar system. Why Solar + Battery? Combining solar generation with battery storage gives homeowners greater control over how and when they use electricity. This installation is designed to help the household: Increase the use of self-generated solar energy Store excess daytime solar production for later use Reduce reliance on grid electricity Make better use of solar energy during evenings and high-demand periods Gain greater control over household energy consumption Build a more energy-resilient home Reduce exposure to rising electricity costs over the long term Built for Long-Term Energy Independence With 10.45 kW of solar generation capacity and 32 kWh of battery storage, this Endeavour Hills installation represents a significant step towards greater household energy independence. The combination of Jinko solar technology and GoodWe energy storage provides the homeowner with a modern energy solution designed around both current electricity requirements and future energy needs.
