Solar, batteries and EV chargers for Avoca Beach, Copacabana, Macmasters Beach, Kincumber, Saratoga, Davistown, Green Point and Bensville — the whole 2251 postcode. A system here is the same panels and the same inverter as one in western Sydney. What is not the same is the metalwork holding it onto the roof, and that is the part of the quote worth reading.
These are estimates, not fixed prices. Each one assumes a straightforward installation and already has the federal STC discount for postcode 2251 taken off. What your home actually costs depends on your roof, switchboard and connection — we confirm it in writing after a free assessment.

Anything that applies to your home is itemised in your written quote before you commit to it.
Estimates only, including GST, checked October 2026. STC figures use postcode 2251, 2026 deeming and an assumed $38 per certificate — the discount you receive depends on the certificate market on your installation date. Savings are modelled on typical usage and tariffs and are not a guarantee.
Every installer who works the coast will tell you they use marine-grade hardware. Almost none of them will write down which grade, or which corrosivity category they assumed when they priced the job. The difference matters, because the parts salt attacks are not the parts you look at.
Glass and anodised aluminium frames handle salt air, and so does an inverter mounted out of the weather. The array you can see is rarely what fails here.
Brackets, rails, roof fixings and fasteners take the damage, slowly and invisibly, because they live under the panels where nobody looks. The Australian corrosivity standard puts the most severe category on roughly the first couple of hundred metres from breaking surf and steps down from there — which street you are on genuinely changes the answer.
Marine-grade 316 stainless for fasteners rather than 304 or zinc-plated, and a mounting system rated for your category rather than the manufacturer's standard product. Both should appear on the quote by name.
This is the question that separates the quotes, and it costs nothing to ask. Mounting manufacturers commonly publish a distance-from-coast limit on the standard product and sell a coastal variant for everything inside it. Put the standard rails on a house that sits inside that limit and the system works perfectly on day one — what has quietly gone is the warranty, and you learn that in year twelve when something moves in a southerly. So: which mounting system, rated for which category, and what does its own documentation say about distance from the surf? Ask it of every quote you get. Ask it of ours.
Network rules change and every connection is approved on its own merits — we confirm the limit that applies to your address in writing before install day.
Salt does not stop at the beach. Our Dapto page covers the milder version of this problem on the shore of Lake Illawarra, where the exposure is lower but the twenty-five year arithmetic is identical — and it also deals with the other thing people get wrong about coastal installs, which is assuming the rebate changes outside Sydney. It does not.
Coastal mounting on the IllawarraHome batteries attract two separate incentives. The federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program takes an estimated $3,402 off a 13.5 kWh battery, and NSW’s NSW VPP connection incentive (battery via federal program) can add more on top. Already have solar? We check your inverter first — some systems take a battery as they are, others need a hybrid inverter.
Estimated federal rebate on 13.5 kWh of usable storage
NSW virtual power plant (VPP) incentive when you connect an eligible battery to a VPP, on top of the federal Cheaper Home Batteries discount. The NSW upfront battery discount ended for installs from 1 July 2025.
Size your solar for it now. Our 10kW package comes pre-wired for a battery and an EV charger, so adding one later is a small job rather than a rebuild.
We review your roof, shading, switchboard and a recent bill, and note how far the house actually sits from breaking surf — because that decides the hardware, not a postcode.
A quote naming the panel and inverter models, the system size, the mounting system and its corrosion rating, the total price and what is excluded.
We lodge your grid-connection application and confirm any export limit before install day.
CEC-accredited electricians install, test and commission the system, then clean up. You are told who is coming.
Your retailer updates the meter, we set up monitoring, and you get the compliance paperwork — including what went on the roof, which is the document you will want in year ten.
Every install below is a real Kratos job, with the suburb and month it was completed. As we finish work around Avoca Beach, those projects will appear here too.

Smarter Home Energy with Solar & Battery Storage Kratos Energy has successfully completed another residential solar and battery installation in Endeavour Hills, Victoria, combining a 10.45 kW Jinko solar system with 32 kWh of GoodWe battery storage. Designed to help the household generate more of its own electricity, store excess solar energy and reduce dependence on the grid, this system provides a strong foundation for smarter and more flexible home energy management. Project Overview Location: Endeavour Hills, Victoria Solar System Size: 10.45 kW Solar Panels: Jinko Solar Battery Storage: 32 kWh Battery Brand: GoodWe Project Type: Residential Solar + Battery Installation Status: Completed The Solution The property was equipped with a high-capacity rooftop solar system using Jinko solar panels, strategically installed to make effective use of the available roof space. The 10.45 kW solar array works alongside a substantial 32 kWh GoodWe battery system, allowing solar energy generated during the day to be stored for use when required. Rather than relying solely on electricity from the grid after sunset, the household can make greater use of energy generated from its own rooftop solar system. Why Solar + Battery? Combining solar generation with battery storage gives homeowners greater control over how and when they use electricity. This installation is designed to help the household: Increase the use of self-generated solar energy Store excess daytime solar production for later use Reduce reliance on grid electricity Make better use of solar energy during evenings and high-demand periods Gain greater control over household energy consumption Build a more energy-resilient home Reduce exposure to rising electricity costs over the long term Built for Long-Term Energy Independence With 10.45 kW of solar generation capacity and 32 kWh of battery storage, this Endeavour Hills installation represents a significant step towards greater household energy independence. The combination of Jinko solar technology and GoodWe energy storage provides the homeowner with a modern energy solution designed around both current electricity requirements and future energy needs.
