Solar panels in Sanctuary Point

Solar, batteries and EV chargers for Sanctuary Point, St Georges Basin, Basin View and Old Erowal Bay. Unlike the holiday houses around the bay, most homes here have someone in them during the day — which is the best case rooftop solar has, and it changes what we would recommend.

  • 6.6kW systems estimated from about $3,990 after the STC discount
  • A kWh used at home is worth about 6× one exported
  • Payback worked out on your bill, not an average household

Being home

Why a Sanctuary Point household gets more from the same system

The value of rooftop solar depends less on the roof than on who is standing under it at midday. A system on an empty house sells its generation cheaply; the same system on an occupied one replaces power you would have bought. That is the whole argument, and it falls your way here.

≈ 6×

What a kWh used at home is worth against one exported, on the NSW figures this site models with. Being home converts the cheap outcome into the expensive one.

Midday load

Washing, dishwashing, hot water, and reverse-cycle heating or cooling. None of it needs new equipment — only moving when it runs.

Modest sizing

Being home well is worth more than being large. For many households here 6.6kW covers the day, and the money saved on panels stays in your pocket.

Why we may talk you out of a battery

A battery stores what you cannot use at the time. If you are home through the day you are already consuming most of your generation directly, which is better than storing it — so the battery case is weaker for you than it is for a house that stands empty until six. That does not make it wrong: evening load and outage backup are real reasons. It does make it a separate decision, taken on its own numbers after you have watched what the panels alone do to a couple of bills.

Network rules change and every connection is approved on its own merits — we confirm the limit that applies to your address in writing before install day.

The opposite case, a few minutes up the road

Much of the 2540 postcode is holiday housing that stands empty for most of the year, where the same reasoning runs backwards and a smaller system can pay back sooner than a large one. If that is the property you are asking about rather than the one you live in, our Vincentia page works through it.

Adding a battery in Sanctuary Point

Home batteries attract two separate incentives. The federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program takes an estimated $3,402 off a 13.5 kWh battery, and NSW’s PDRS battery incentive + VPP bonus can add more on top. Already have solar? We check your inverter first — some systems take a battery as they are, others need a hybrid inverter.

≈ $3,402

Estimated federal rebate on 13.5 kWh of usable storage

+ NSW

Peak Demand Reduction Scheme (PDRS) battery incentive + VPP connection bonus.

Planning an EV?

Size your solar for it now. Our 10kW package comes pre-wired for a battery and an EV charger, so adding one later is a small job rather than a rebuild.

From quote to switch-on

How a Sanctuary Point install works

  1. Step 1

    Free assessment

We review your roof, shading, switchboard and a recent bill, and ask what the day looks like — when the kettle, the washing and the heating actually run, because that decides the size more than the roof does.

  2. Step 2

    Written quote

A quote with the panel layout, inverter and every extra itemised, and a payback based on your own usage rather than a generic household.

  3. Step 3

    Network approval

We lodge your grid-connection application and confirm any export limit before install day.

  4. Step 4

    Installation

CEC-accredited electricians install, test and commission the system, then clean up. One day on site, and we tell you in advance when the power will be off.

  5. Step 5

    Switch-on

Your retailer updates the meter and we set up monitoring, and we will show you how to read it rather than leaving you with an app and a login.
